We Have Lost a Lot

We have lost a lot. Car keys. Phones. Minds. Most of this will likely never be found again.

Even the spiritual teachings are incomplete. Sometimes pages were ripped from the original texts to prevent the information from being shared with the masses. Sometimes passages are left obscure to make room for contemplation. Then there is what has been lost in translation.

When things disappear down gutters and deep ravines, we find ourselves in the absence. Rather, space finds us. In space we can listen with the ears of our hearts. We can reach out for a hand to guide us through. This is what we are searching for, not that other.
