Pitta dosha is built from fire, as is the sour taste. Sour smells. Sour tastes. Sour burns things up. Sour is what brings up back to our awareness. Awakens our senses.
Enough sour (“enough” being a relative point for each person) is necessary, but too much sour leaves us emanating something foul.
The answer (to pretty much all pitta issues) is simple: Flowers. Get a vase. Take a walk. Inhale a drop of rose geranium essential oil rubbed in the center of your palms. Suddenly things don’t smell so bad.
