How to Breathe

This is a friendly reminder to breathe. So go ahead: Release tension in your diaphragm and allow your body to do what it knows how to do.

It’s funny that we have to be reminded to do something that is controlled by the parts of our brains that require no thinking. But we all need that at times.

Because our thinking brains have overridden these essential life-giving forces in our bodies — breath, sleep, pooping, sex — and warped them with massive amounts of stress, processed food, self-annihilation, and porn, respectively. It’s what the great sages called “mind fuckery.”

Everything begins with the breath. It ends there too. What a great function to commit to mastering.
