Healing Is a Million Things

The cures always contradict one another.

You can make an altar containing all five elements facing East, or you can let your child place her collection of seashells and pinecones on whatever windowsill she likes and call that your sanctuary.

You can do pranayama and meditate for an hour a day, or you can wash your dishes every night with an incredible amount of gratitude for the water, the soap, the dried up crust of your meal.

You can bring kitchari to the party, or you can take the meal someone has cooked for you as an offering of their love.

You can do any or all of these things if you want to find peace, but peace will only come if you know why you are doing them.
