Do whales get anxious before their treks across the ocean to their winter homes?

Do the mountains tremble as the first flakes of snow dance around their peaks?

And the trees…do they cry out in pain when the winds blow their branches bare?

No, I think it is just us, alone in our fear of change.

So let’s honor it.

In these days of uncertain futures, let’s fill our bellies with warm food and lay thick blankets upon our beds. Let’s cry when we need to cry and laugh out loud when that is called for. Let’s do for ourselves in these times whatever it takes to remember that when the world seems to be breaking apart, we will always remain whole.
