Women: If you’re ready to change your life, stop apologizing for your erotic power.
Women spend too much time apologizing. And there’s nothing we apologize more for than how we express our erotic energy.
We apologize for everything about it. For wanting too much. For not wanting enough.
For being too sexy. For not being sexy enough.
For having too many Os. For not having enough, or not the right kind.
We apologize for having basic human needs around how we’re treated after we give the gift of our body to another (like feeling “needy” for wanting a text the day after)
All these “sorrys” we leave in our wake are more than words. Through them, we give away our power before we’ve ever learned to use it.
Imagine a world where women knew what we wanted, and stood tall after naming it. Where we were not trained to diminish our eros, but on how to use it for good.
Imagine a world where women received the compliments they were given as truth. Where we drank them up with no chaser of deflections.
Imagine a world where women simply walked away from a lover if our desires weren’t honored (with confidence that another would soon come and rejoice in her expression).
Imagine a world where we only said “sorry” when we actually did something wrong.
It’s the kind of world I want to live in.
